An annotated bibliography is a list of reference citations for sources you plan to use along with annotations that either summarize or summarize and analyze the information found in the sources.  Typically, the annotation is fairly brief, just a few sentences.  However, I encourage you to consult your assignment and instructor for more direction on the types of annotations needed for your project.

The Purdue Global Writing Center’s Reference Library on the WC homepage has a tutorial on this topic:  Writing an Annotated Bibliography.
