As of November 15, 2023, the new EBSCO Discovery Service no longer needs you to register and log in with a MyEBSCO account if you want to save items and searches for future sessions. With the new system, EDS will just automatically remember you. However, MyEBSCO account content from the "old" version of EDS will not migrate automatically to the New EDS.

If you are a MyEBSCO power user, you can merge older accounts with the new automatic single-sign-on account with EBSCO if created with an email and password combination. Read the "How to Merge Personal User Accounts" FAQ from EBSCO for details. Note that in the second step, in the New EDS interface the option is "Manage your account."

Unfortunately, MyEBSCO accounts created using the "Sign in with Google" option cannot be merged yet. EBSCO is working on adding this as an option, but content in these MyEBSCO accounts will not migrate on launch. However, you can back up any saved articles and works in these accounts using the export tools in EBSCO. Use the link below to login into Academic Search Complete with the Google SSO option. This should allow you to see your folder from any EBSCO resource, including EBSCO Discovery Service, and export your saved articles and books.
