We have several copies of The Republic. Your instructions say that you can read a different version than the one edited by Parker, as long as you read from the beginning of Book VII to the end of the "Allegory."
Try this search on the Library homepage. First, click on Advanced Search located just below the search box on the library's homepage. 
1.  In the top box, type: plato
2.  Change the box to the right to  Author
3.  In the 2nd box down, type: republic
4.  Change the box to the right to  Title
5.  Click the Search button
 
If when accessing one of the books, you get a message saying that the book is in use, then try another one of the books.
