If you are using a brand new Windows computer using Windows 8 or 8.1, you may experience an issue where eBooks from EBSCO open up one page in a new window as a PDF and you can't simply flip through pages of the ebok.  Try downloading and installing the latest Adobe Reader, first.  Next, there may be a setting you have to tweak in order for Adobe Reader to open PDF's within the browser window.  More information here:

If you are using a Mac laptop or desktop (Macbook, Mac Mini, Mac Pro or other computer using OS X operating system) and are having problems viewing PDF's in EBSCO databases, you need to download a special PDF plugin for web browsers.  More information here:

In recent system updates for Mac OS X and browser updates to Chrome and Safari, this issue isn't as prevalent, but see the above link if you still experience it.
