Use the following steps when troubleshooting access to O'Reilly for Higher Education or opening specific books or videos via a link from a Library guide or the Brightspace online classroom.

Option 1: Clear Cookies or use Private Browsing mode

Clearing cookies and site data is the best option to try when you cannot access O'Reilly's homepage successfully or encounter issues while using it during a long session or several sessions throughout the day.  In Google Chrome, this option is called "Clear browsing data."

Alternatively, you could also open an "Incognito Window" in Chrome, called "Private browsing" or similar names in other browsers, which automatically gives you a window without any previous cookies.

Option 2: Enter the homepage first

If you are clicking a link to a specific video or book and it won't open, try visiting the O'Reilly homepage first, then click the link again.  This usually resolves issues with direct links to content. The O'Reilly homepage is found at library.purdueglobal.edu/oreilly

Option 3: Follow the login menu prompt and use email to login

Use this option as a last resort.  If you are presented with a "Select your institution" window and cannot get past it with other methods, select the "Not listed" option then enter your student or faculty email address (ending with @student.purdueglobal.edu for students or @purdueglobal.edu for faculty and staff).  This will then lead you to O'Reilly, but in doing so creates a new account separate from the integrated account you have when normally logging in with PG Campus.
