During your studies at Purdue Global, you will be asked to research academic topics, often using the information resources available to you in the PG Library.  Being able to recognize that you need information, locate that information, evaluate that information, and use that information effectively are all skills that describe an "information literate" person.  Knowing why information literacy is important and what it is can be helpful when trying to give academic research context and understand why you're doing it (even though it can be hard!).  Take the following tutorial from Credo InfoLit to learn why information literacy is more important than ever.
