ProQuest Central is the best place to locate and read dissertations. ProQuest Central is located within the All Databases list:
Scroll down the list to select ProQuest Central
Once you're in the database, click on Advanced Search:
On the advanced search screen, scroll down until you see the box labeled Document Type.
Scroll through that box until you see Dissertation/Thesis and click on that link so that the search limits to dissertation and thesis:
Now, scroll up to the search boxes and type in your search terms. Hospice was used for this example. And click on Search.
Below the dissertation information you will find links to the full text, both a shorter preview file (which will have a much lower download size) and a full copy (which can sometimes be quite large, so be patient while it loads).
The other place to look is PQDT Open, which has a large set of freely available open access dissertations. This resource is also from ProQuest, but doesn't require a subscription from a library to access: http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/search.html
If you have more questions about finding dissertations to read, please reach out to the Library staff for assistance.
